Site and Roleplaying Rules « Thread Started on Apr 5, 2007, 6:04pm »
Thanks to Bramblestar from Warriors Obsessed 2 for help with the rules.
General Code of Conduct: 1. Please do not swear excessively. 2. Keep your posts PG-13. 3. Don't harass, bash, or flame other members. Respect others opinions. 4. No chatspeak. 5. Never impersonate another member or make multiple accounts. You will get banned for this. 6. No double or triple posting. There's a handy little modify button. Use it instead of double posting. 7. Please check your spelling before you post, and try to make an effort to use correct grammar. This includes capitalizing when necessary. You look so much more intelligent when your post doesn't have incorrect punctuation and atrocious spelling. Remember: this is the internet. How you type is interpreted as how you talk. 8. Please keep all things personal in PMs. No one wants to read something that they don't understand because it's a private joke between two members. Also if you feel just like saying "hi" or "lol", keep it to PMs as well. 9. No spamming! This includes one worded posts. Try to contribute to a discussion with more than just saying "I agree" or "What he/she said". Also stay on topic. 10. Please read the descriptions of each forum and post new topics in the correct forum. 11. Signatures cannot be wider and/or higher than about 500 pixels. 12. Your character bio(s) MUST be accepted before you begin to roleplay. You will know it has been accepted when it is moved to the Accepted Cats board, and if it is your first bio, an admin will notify you.
Rule Violations Based on the degree of the rule violation, you will be punished appropriatley. This could range from a reminder via PM, a warning, to being banned permanently. Use your common sense when posting, and if you think something you want to post may violate the rules, PM a staff member and ask.
Roleplay: 1. Only roleplay as many characters as you can handle at once. If you can't handle all your cats, you should kill some off or put some up for adoption. 2. Leaders, deputies and medicine cats can mate, but if they're she-cats they'll need to find someone to take care of their kits while they attend to their Clan duties, and try to keep it as secretive as possible. 3. Unless your cat is a rogue or a villian, follow the warrior code! Respect the person RPing as your Clan leader or deputy. 4. Absolutely no godmodding or powerplaying. Doing so could earn you a warning. Godmodding: when you make your character invincible and undefeatable. Every cat has it's setbacks and challenges. Powerplaying: Taking control of another persons character, or making critical decisions while rping that will affect the other member's cat's life.
Bad: Frostfang lashed out at Twigtail, her claws slashing open a deep gash in her opponent's side. Twigtail fell to the ground, terribly wounded. Good: Frostfang lashed out at Twigtail, trying fiercely to wound her opponent. This way, Twigtail's RPer can choose whether or not Twigtail is wounded.
